Course Description:
The course provides students with an overview of the foundations of
international law. Students are required to reflect on
these foundations, identify incompatibilities and to see how law and
politics interact. Moreover, students will be familiarized with the
basic legal regime covering e.g. treaty making and application, human
rights, jurisdiction and immunities, state responsibility and ius ad
bellum and learn to critically apply
these rules.
