On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
Explain the practical significance of the role of agents in the commercial world.
Discuss the rights and duties of agents and principals, and the rights of third party.
Identify and apply the main statutory instruments of the UK on sale of goods and supply of services
contracts.
Analyse the concepts of and legal significance of passing of property and risk in sale of goods transactions .
Deal systematically with the legal effect of sales by non-owners.
Identify the statutory and institutional framework of international sales transactions.
Describe the salient features of international sales.
Discuss and engage with the issues arising from carriage of goods by sea contracts.
Evaluate the consequences of a carrier’s obligation of seaworthiness.
