Course Description: This unit explores the diversity and evolution of life from the molecular to the ecosystem level. Students completing this unit will develop an integrated understanding of the structure and function of organisms and will explore how reproduction and inheritance form the bias of evolution and biological diversity. Students will develop theoretical and practical skills in experimental design, problem solving, data analysis, and communication necessary to study complex biological systems and the processes of organization, regulation and response that shape those systems.
