Course Description:
Course 2.7 goes into further detail about the important topics within Developmental & Educational Psychology, e.g. nature v nurture, continuity v transiency and natural maturation v active guidance. The various facets and phases of normal development from childhood into (late) adulthood will be studied. In any case, developmental psychology is not only about early childhood development, it is also about the development of the child into a teenager/adolescent and adults, as well as its development into an older person. We will also go into the interaction between biological determinants of development and environmental determinants during, for example, early childhood development and later adulthood.
