Course Description: This course introduces students to the study of human behaviour from a biological point of view. Apart from providing students with knowledge in fundamental topics of biological psychology, such as the human nervous system, psychopharmacology, and research methods in behavioural neuroscience, the course also includes more applied topics. For example, the biological basis of learning and memory, visual perception, language, emotion, sleep, and affective disorders are explored. This course has prerequisites that must be completed prior to enrolling in this course. It is the students' responsibility to ensure these requirements have been fulfilled.
