This unit is an introduction to sexology; the scholarly study of human sexuality. Students are encouraged to reflect upon and reassess their own beliefs, attitudes and values through the investigation and examination of a diverse range of key sexological concepts and topics. Broader societal points of view are discussed. There is an emphasis on sex positivity and facilitating their understanding through a biopsychosocial approach.
