The theory syllabus is dedicated to present the fundamental concepts and issues about planning and urban development in relation to the environment. It will be divided into ten thematic blocks, in the following sequence:
- Conceptual approach to regional and urban planning.
- System and territorial model.
- Types and modalities of planning: differences and links between them.
- The problem of scales and the territorial disparities.
- The character of the territorial planning: Laws and politics in Spain. Cascade planning.
- The regional policy: objectives and instruments.
- Evolution of the territorial management in Spain and Aragón.
- The urban planning. Forms of urban development and urban plans.
- Management of the metropolitan areas.
- Territorial strategic planning.
