Data science is a cross-disciplinary science for obtaining new knowledge from data and using it for decision making, and this concept is becoming necessary in all academic fields. This is the first of four courses in the Introduction to Data Science series that will cover the basics of data science. In the introductory series, students learn not only each theory of statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc., but also how to think about the purpose of setting up a problem, interpretation of results, and points to be considered when conducting data analysis. In this lecture, after learning the importance of data science, you will learn the basic ideas common to data science through basic analysis of univariate data and bivariate data.
