This is the second of four courses in the Introduction to Data Science series that will cover the basics of data science. In the introductory series, students learn not only each theory of statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc., but also how to think about the purpose of setting up a problem, interpretation of results, and points to be considered when conducting data analysis.
In this course, we will learn the concept of data science by focusing on the problem of regression and classification, which represents the relationship between explanatory and objective variables. The relationship between explanatory and objective variables is expressed mathematically, and the various criteria that depend on the objective to evaluate the relationship are explained.
