Course Description:
After completing the course, students will be able to describe the special characteristics of digital media, communication networks and social media, as well as understand key research concepts related to them. They will be able to identify development trends in digital production, distribution and use, as well as their impact on social and cultural practices. Students will be able to explain how networked and interactive media are being used in various sectors of society and everyday life.
The course examines statements concerning the internet and digital media, as well as various ways of studying phenomena related to digital media. The course familiarises students with the historical development of digital media, as well as its economic, political, cultural and social meanings.
