Course Description:
After completing the course, students will recognise where political communication takes place and understand how it can be used to make a political difference. They will also be able to assess the social consequences of political communication in different contexts. The module will provide a good basis for evaluating and practising political communication practices.
The course provides an overview of political communication and introduces various phenomena in political communication, such as the relation between politics and the media, political journalism, political campaigning and marketing, political performance, style and rhetoric, political entertainment, communication in public administration and communication related to civic activity.
