Through the study of a significant number of songs, articles, and documentary and cinematographic material, this course will explore the importance of ancient song in our society. We will pay special attention to the poetic language of the lyrics, we will provide the student with a basic tool to deal with this rich material and we will analyze the links between the song and the society that is, at the same time, its origin and its destiny.
