Course Description:
The ultimate goal of this course is to build strong conceptual understanding of core physical concepts that are behind various phenomena encountered in our everyday life. The students will be trained to correctly identify the concepts that underlie the processes in different mechanical systems, and to solve the related problems. The students will acquire solid understanding of classical mechanics to continue to the more specialized and/or advanced subjects and will be able to apply the theoretical principles of mechanics and the calculus tools to solve practical physical problems. The students will also improve their scientific English.
