Course Title: Foundations of Exercise and Sports Science II

Course Description: Exercise and Sports Science is a multidisciplinary field encompassing physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and the psychosocial aspects of human movement. In this course students will gain foundational knowledge that is key to understanding the health and wellness continuum between performance athletes and chronic disease patients. Theoretical and practical learning includes screening, exercise prescription and delivery and physical activity promotion and behaviour change across the lifespan. Students will also engage with employability activities to increase their understanding of, and engagement with, the fields of exercise science, exercise physiology and sports science. Only available to students enrolled in Exercise and Sports Science degrees (1171, 1420, 1421, 1493, 1604).
