Course Description: Learning outcomes The student will understand and have the ability to apply economic methods to investigate producer decisions, prices, consumer decisions, trade, markets and policies in the Agri-food sector. She will also be abreast of policy issues of key importance in the area of agriculture and food. Content Supply and demand analysis; Partial equilibrium models and their extensions; The firm as a price taker; Industrial Organization; International trade and basics of trade theory; Agricultural prices and markets; the economic approach to policy analysis; analysis of some policy instruments commonly used in the Agi-food sector.
