This course examines the role of international organizations in promoting environmental sustainability, starting with the 1972 Stockholm Conference.
It explores the challenge of balancing environmental sustainability with economic development through the framework of sustainable development. Students will analyze intergovernmental cooperation, SDG-related treaties, and global efforts on climate change, environmental protection, and sustainable economic policies.
Emphasis is placed on student-led presentations, discussions, and research activities in a collaborative learning environment. The course culminates in an online workshop with high school students, allowing participants to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios and promote understanding of sustainable development principles.
