The course consists of 2 blocks.
- Block 1 addresses the technical part of Artificial intelligence. It will help you build the technical vocabulary required to communicate in the AI field and introduce the most important concepts of AI methods. We will review symbolic AI, machine learning, neural networks, Natural Language Processing, robotics and computer vision. The material will be mostly conceptual (no coding or math required) and we will use different AI methods in practice in our course projects.
- Block 2 will invite you to reflect on philosophical and ethical consequences of AI development and use. We will discuss such topics as whether AI machines can think and have free will; emotions and creativity in AI systems; how AI can change the job market, warfare, and government, and much more. You will engage in debates about some of these topics to deepen your understanding of the topics.
