Course Description:
The course Elementary Latin 2 (6 ECTS) expands the students’ knowledge of Latin on a basic level. Students memorise a glossary and complete exercises on morphology and syntax. They train their skills in translating and interpreting small Latin texts. During the course, they are introduced to relatively simple text sources from Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. They also learn about the importance of reading sources in the primary language to understand the meaning and historical value.
