The course is an introduction to ancient and medieval philosophy. We read original texts (though English translation) written (or reported through other writers) by major philosophers in the antiquity including Presocratics, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, and Thomas Aquinas. We will confirm that philosophy in those times was a way of life (unlike philosophy that is too technical and professional).
