After completing the course, students will be familiar with theories and concepts concerning the public sphere and democracy. Students will understand the functioning of the public sphere and democracy, and their historical connections and dynamics. They will also be able to critically read scientific texts on theories and concepts, place them into their context and perceive through them topical phenomena of the public sphere and democracy.
