From syllabus:
Students are expected to understand the basic logic of economic theory and to
apply it to the real world problem issues. In particular, the course provides (i)
supply and demand analysis based on the individual’s utility maximization and
firm’s profit maximization. (2) analysis of various market structures, including
competitive market as well as monopoly, and (iii) causes and remedies of market
failure and some other policy measures.
