Course Description: Critically present and evaluate the sources and the consequences of the major contending perspectives on international relations;  Understand historically the shaping of the international system over the past century;  Provide an analytical understanding of the complexity of the global relations;  Identify and appreciate the significance of the principal issues, actors and institutions in international relations;  Improve the analytical skills of the students by studying selected global issues. Provide the students with the knowledge and methodology to move towards an in-depth understanding of international politics.
