COURSE DESCRIPTION
Access to reliable information is crucial for the functioning of a healthy democracy. But with the ever-growing quantity of information available and the speed and means with which it is transmitted, news consumers need to pay special attention in order to tell apart reliable journalism from misleading propaganda and discern the true from the false and news from opinion. This workshop will examine cases (past and present) of real and fake news and offer tools to help distinguish between the two.
