Course Description:
Develop your knowledge and understanding through this module on health and society. On this module, you will study an outline of the development of public health, its underlying principles and areas of practice. You will also consider the relationships between health status and the society within which people live their lives, discussing discuss the wider determinants of health and ill health. There will opportunities to explore the evidence that underpins policy and practice of public health potential career pathways involved in public health and reflect upon the wider political, ethical and moral debates that impact upon public health.
This module will consist of a minimum of 45 contact hours with teaching taking place between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
