This module is for you if you are interested in the application of computational methods in the representation and analysis of biological data. You will study how the availability of data from genome sequencing and high-throughput measurements in the human and other biological species has fuelled an explosive growth of bioinformatics during the past two decades. You will consider how research in bioinformatics has the potential to steer biological discovery in genomics, medical science and pharmaceutical applications.
This module will consist of a minimum of 45 contact hours with teaching taking place between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.
