OBJECTIFS DU COURS / COURSE GOALS Navigating the news gets increasingly complicated. Between information overload and the development of all sorts of misinformation, it becomes harder to separate the wheat from the chaff. Whatever your previous education or professional aspiration, being able to find the right, relevant, and reliable information is an absolute necessity. During this class, you will understand how information is made, from the best sources to the worst producers of junk news. We will go into the detail of newsmaking, from fact gathering to the wide variety of packaging (text, video, audio). 1.1 Expected learning outcomes At the end of the class: You will have learned to manage your personal sources of news, to be informed in the best possible way, not missing anything while not getting drown either.
