The main tasks of the course is a providing students with knowledge on how rivalry and struggle between great powers – the Russian and British Empires, for political and economic domination in Chinese Central Asia during the end of the XIX – first half of the XX centuries determined political development of the region embracing it into the orbit of the international relations, own interests of the powers and into the process of modernization.
