Course Description:
In this course students are introduced to various advanced marketing research techniques.
In marketing often rich data are available in customer databases or in reviews and blogs on the web. The techniques introduced in this course enable firms to transform these data into knowledge.
At the same time little information is available about consumer preferences for new products. In these cases efficient data collection and analysis are needed to obtain knowledge at low cost.
Students will develop a deeper understanding of the techniques introduced in the course. They will also learn how to design and analyze conjoint choice experiments to study consumer preferences. Finally they will learn how to present consumer preference research results and to evaluate and interpret the outcomes of such research.
