This course examines globalization as a concept and phenomenon with a special focus
on the impact of globalization on Europe. Globalization is examined as a
multidimensional, transborder and global process of change, economically and politically
as well as culturally and socially, with a special focus on the European case. The course
also examines the relation between globalization and regional integration with a special
focus on how the process of integration can be understood and explained in the
European context.
