The course will help students to become aware of various oral and written strategies of global communication, such as presentation of ideas, writing abstracts, understanding foreign cultures, note taking, conducting library/internet research, writing project papers and learning in a global classroom. Students will understand how their lives are shaped by globalizing cultures and they interact with globalizing technologies in diverse ways. Students will also get an overview of how the global and local phenomena intersect and affect their lives especially their workplace. An understanding of global communication will be rooted in global communication theories, ideas and models specific to Communication and English Studies taught at various universities abroad.
