The course gives Science & Engineering undergraduate students a focused understanding of the environments and ecosystems of planet Earth. The course is designed to follow the Japanese version of the course covering the interrelated concepts of the 4-spheres of planet Earth: Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Biosphere. Particular focus will also be given to the history and evolution of the 4-spheres as well as the planetary relationship between the sun, moon and Earth.
