Course Description:
The course introduces students to field of international negotiation and explores the role of culture in negotiating across borders. Topics covered include theory, practice and strategies of negotiation, the impact of technology in a global political economy, and the changing nature of diplomacy from ancient times to the early 21st century. Students will also explore in depth the negotiating styles of the USA, France, and China , and participate in role-play simulation exercise of a multilateral negotiation.
