Course Description:
This unit will study the ways in which governments intervene in public life and address
specific social problems through what are called public policies. Public policy can be understood as a process composed of key stages including identifying social problems to address through government intervention and establishing government and public
agendas, designing policies as solutions, implementing solutions through actors and government agencies, and evaluating their impact in different areas of social life.
