Course Description:
The student will develop these competences: (1) define and describe the evolution of the Mexican political system from the Constitution of 1917 to the six-year period that the course takes place, (2) identify its elements and characteristics, (3) distinguish the political, social and economic processes, as well as the actors that intervene in the last century. The objective is to apply the tools for political analysis in order to interpret the causes and possible solutions to the contemporary problems of the country. There will be a link between theory and practice, with academic and journalistic readings; so that theoretical knowledge can be used in current events, so that you have the indispensable bases to recognize, what is Mexican politics and how does it manifest itself. These competences will be measured through the oral and written expression of a current Mexican political topic.
