Course Description:
This course offers two points of view on international economics. In the first place the
free trade doctrine is explained and confronted with the frequent occurrence of
protectionism. The concepts learned are then applied to the multilateral trade
negotiations within the framework of the World Trade Organisation. In the second place
the operation of balances of payments, exchange rates and exchange rate regimes are
analyzed.
