Course Description: An evidence-based review of technology management giving examples across the engineering industry from the origins of technology management through developmental aspects and explaining the use of mapping tools and other techniques to analyse and implement change in organisations as required. For marketing aspects there is a thorough review of the role and definition of marketing allowing students to understand the methods used by companies to create a presence in the market place (branding) and be successful in maintaining a high-level market position. The module will develop an understanding of marketing and management tools, techniques, processes and help explain how these all fit together in modern business.
