This course is designed to help students learn fundamentals of computer and digital literacy to prepare them for success in formal education settings as well as supporting their development of digitally-mediated, life-long, interest-driven learning.
Objectives:
The course focuses on developing students’ skills, practices, and knowledge associated with two key areas: Data and Communication. At the end of this course, students will be able to
make informed judgements about the safety, security, ethics, and laws associated with their software, data, and communication practices
present reasoned arguments about the societal implications of digital technologies
understand computing fundamentals, including using computers and standard software (e.g., Google) to collaborate, analyze data, and present their work through digital media.
