Course Objective
Students will:
- Obtain insights in early programming, epigenetics and role of
microbiome in development of metabolism.
- The role of maternal and child behaviour during the first 1000 days
after conception on future health.
- Obtain insights in roles of nutrition and stress on metabolism and
brain.
- Understand the upstream determinants of behaviour in urban areas.
- Through participative sessions will obtain motives for action of
target groups and policy makers.
- Be able to formulate a strategy for a city to improve health though
actions aimed at environments and individuals.
- Present this strategy in the form of an Op-Ed article for a newspaper.
