The module presents some of the basic theories on the causes and effects of international trade in goods and services. Students will become familiar with targets and instruments of national foreign economic policies as well as the international rules, principles, aims, organization, and conflict settlement mechanisms which characterize the current world trade order. The last chapter of the lecture analyzes stabilization policy options in open economies.
