Course Description: The objective of this course is to introduce the basic concepts and principles of microeconomic theory. Microeconomics is the study of how households and firms make decisions and how they interact in specific markets. In this course students will learn how demand and supply interact to determine market prices and how government intervention can affect market outcomes. Students will also learn how firms make production decisions and will become familiar with different types of market structures, such as monopoly and perfect competition.
