It will discuss the Anthropological approach and Anthropology as a field of knowledge. It will cover the idea of culture and people and discuss some basic concepts of culture. An overview of the broad aspect of Anthropological research will be discussed including units on economic systems; marriage, family and community; power and politics; kinship; descent and social structure; religion; law and social control; and the worlds of men and women.
