This course provides a rigorous introduction to the field of international economics through the study of various topics including international trade, foreign direct investment, fragmentation, offshoring, balance of payments, and exchange rate determination. The course follows a lecture format but students are encouraged to make comments and ask questions within a discussion friendly atmosphere. Before taking this course, students are recommended to complete the following introductory courses: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Introduction to Finance.
