The aim of this course is twofold. First, in class the teacher presents the main characteristics of three different types of crises (financial, humanitarian and health crises) that have not been stopped by borders. Secondly, by taking the view point of an economist, the course reviews the main theoretical tools of international economics in order to understand and evaluate how economic policies have been used and anticipate what may happen in case of future similar crises.
