This unit will require first year students to consolidate the skills and knowledge acquired in acting, vocal, and body studies and related theatre history/theory. They will integrate them in an exhaustive rehearsal process that will culminate in a full production of a devised performance combining text and physicality for a short public season. Students will be exposed to the process of lighting and sound design implementation and stage management through participation in technical rehearsals. Students will engage in text analysis and research activities for the duration of the rehearsal process to explore and study the performance text in-depth.
