Course Description:
GEOS 1701 explores the role of environmental processes, operating over a range of temporal and spatial scales, in shaping patterns of the physical environment in the context of human interactions and resulting management issues. This important topic incorporates the fields of Physical Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Management and Biogeography. Specifically, we examine the variety of processes operating in atmospheric, terrestrial, hydrological, coastal and ecological systems. Course material provides a broad overview of global physical environments, although emphasis will be placed on Australian examples.
