The UNSW Earth & Environmental Science (GEOS1211) course focusses on
environmental science through an earth science perspective. It provides a sound basis in environmental earth science for those interested in professional careers in environmental science and engineering consultancy, geology, education, as well
of general interest to anyone interested in understanding more about environmental science from a long-term, geological perspective.
This course examines the effects of environmental change, both natural and occurring over geological timescales, and more recent, induced by humans, on planet Earth. Skills in environmental earth science will be acquired through four, problem-solving, half-day field classes held close to UNSW.
