Course Description:
In Module Three, students work on projects designed to develop their fine art skills: drawing, paint and colour, clay modelling and digital media. The module covers a choice of picture book illustration and writing, animation and Claymation. Drawing on their imagination, life experience and current issues, with reference to the work of artists, historical and contemporary, students are encouraged to experiment and express their ideas visually in their own unique style. Students have a choice of visits to art galleries, exhibitions and community art projects. Students study art education theory and classroom practice relating to the primary art curriculum and plan an art project for use in primary school.
