Course Description:
In this course students will:
- learn to identify legal issues arising out of ethnic, religious and
gender/lgbti+
diversity;
- become familiar with the main regional and international human rights
instruments regulating diversity (including the ECHR and ICCPR);
- study these instruments in relation with each other, and with national
legal instruments;
- learn to employ these instruments professionally, and understand their
relevance from a societal perspective;
- critically engage with the course literature on an academic level;
- write well-structured and comprehensible legal arguments, based on
sound legal research;
- present and discuss complex issues related to human rights and
diversity, both orally and in writing.
