Course Description:
The goal is to provide a critical overview of the major psychological
treatment modalities. Since the course is meant for students interested in
counseling and clinical psychology, I will try to incorporate case
illustrations to encourage the students to appreciate the complexities
inherent in treatment of psychological disorders.
My hope is that by the end of the course, students will be able to think
critically and multidimensionally about clinical phenomena and that they will
be able to understand the broad theoretical underpinnings of the multitudes of
intervention options available to the public.
