Course Description:
2080LHS (Spanish 2A) builds on the communicative competencies developed in 1081LHS, and prepares you for further study in
2081LHS or 2083LHS. While emphasising oral proficiency, 2080LHS continues a communicative approach to language learning
and teaching which develops all four communicative macro-skills. 2080LHS progresses you towards a basic 'social' proficiency,
equivalent to the B1 Threshold level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. As a 10CP course,
2080LHS comprises approximately 150 hours of work in total. INCOMPATIBLE: 2082LHS / 2082LAL Spanish 2A (Enhanced).
PREREQUISITE: 1081LHS / 1081LAL Spanish 1B OR Equivalent level of proficiency certified by means of a placement test
administered by our Spanish teaching staff.
